“Is to provide reliable, affordable, high-speed (broadband), fiber-optic internet to the residents of Newbury. This new network will foster economic development, enhance education and learning, improve access to health care, and promote public safety, ​civic participation, and social interaction."

​Meetings will be held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month.
​Meeting Dates: 10/12, 11/9, 12/14 & 1/11/2021, are cancelled.

Why Is It Named Newbury REDInet?

A REDI District is an area that has been recognized by Vermont Statue as a Telecommunications Rural Economic Development Infrastructure District. We have shortened the name to Newbury REDInet. Newbury REDInet is a government agency like a water district, but may not use propert tax money to fund any of its operations.

The District designation allows the REDI to apply for Vermont and Federal grants. In the case of the Newbury REDInet, the district is the geographical borders of the town of Newbury. All residences and businesses within the town's borders are included in the district.
